A self-absorbed man gets a call from an anonymous voice. It tells him his partner's life depends on him finishing a day of strange tasks before midnight.
Jack is selfish, short-tempered and running from a secret he buried years ago. Then a withheld number tells him his partner Em is in danger. He has until midnight, and a trail of strange tasks to finish: a bench on the seafront, yellow tulips for a stranger, a call to the brother he betrayed. The caller knows everything about him. To save her, Jack will have to become someone worth saving.
